Australian Pairs - Jo Keeping Trophy
Rules
Competition consists of 12 teams of two. One lead and one skip.
Teams will be drawn out of a hat, one lady and one man.
Once all the ladies have been drawn, then men may be drawn together.
Each team will play four games. Each game will consist of 5 ends.
A coin to be tossed to see which team goes first.
The team members to decide who in their team will be lead and who will be skip. The lead bowls first.
The first two players (lead) will alternately bowl two woods to the jack.
Then the players will change ends for the second players (skip)to alternately bowl their 4 woods to the jack.
The Players will then change ends for the first player to bowl their remaining two woods to the jack.
The team with their woods closest to the jack wins the end.
Scoring is per Laws of the Sport.
Points are awarded as follows;
3 points for a win.
1 point for a draw.
1 point for each end won.
Maximum number of points will be 32.
In the event of teams having the same amount of point won, then the team with the most shots scored will win.
In the event of a tie, then the team with the highest shots on one end will win.
The winner of Saturday matches will play the winner of Sunday matches and play in a final on 27th September to determine the champions .

When booking a rink to play a competition please do it one of two ways.
Check the rinks calendar on the website or the one in the clubhouse to make sure a rink is free. If you are doing it online then email Andy via huntonbowlsclub@gmail.com with the date you wish to play, the rink number, who you are playing and the competition.
If you are in the clubhouse then enter the details onto the paper copy and then email the above address. That way Andy can keep the online version up to date.
